Gemma arterton
Gemma Christina Arterton is an English actress, known for her roles in movies like 'Quantum of Solace' and 'The Disappearance of Alice Creed' as well as 'Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters'. Her birthplace was Gravesend in Greater London. The career path she chose began when she was graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Her first appearance was in a comedic show called 'St Trinian's'. For the James Bond film Quantum of Solace the film, which came out shortly afterwards, she played an in-character role. It was an average film which was generally mediocre reviewers. Then she played the lead female character in the action fantasy film "Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time". More recently, she played a supporting role for the French film 'Orphan'. Her career in the film industry has had her nominated for numerous awards. She won the prestigious Empire Award for best newcomer' for Quantum of Solace and the Evening Standard Theatre Award for the role she played on the stage in Made in Dagenham. In 2011, she won the Glamour award for Women of the year.
